Hi

I’m Rebekah Thomas LSWPP the owner and photographer of Rebekah’s Studio, based in Devon. I photograph weddings throughout Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, and Somerset.

Currently living in Honiton in East Devon with my husband Stephen and three children. I enjoy visiting the local beaches, walking along the coast paths and moors. When time allows I enjoy meeting friends for a coffee in our local cafes.

I feel very lucky to have photography as my career as this is something I have always enjoyed doing. Photographing weddings are what I love photographing the most. Every wedding is different which makes the day very exciting. The dresses, the rings, the venues, the table details, the flowers, the cake, and the bands/DJs are never the same. This enables me to produce new and beautiful images from every wedding for my amazing couples to look at time and time again.

I have been a professional photographer since 2008 and I hold a Licentiate qualification with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (LSWPP).

Photography first came into my life when I studied GCSE photography in 2003 which I then continued with an A-Level course in 2005 - receiving top grades for both courses. I then began commercial and studio photography in 2008 where I was employed by a local company to produce images for publications and their websites. In 2011 I made the decision commercial photography was not the career for me, so I started working along side wedding photographers to gain experience and to receive further training in wedding photography. In 2012 I started my own business alongside my employment work and opened my own studio to photograph weddings, family’s and newborn babies. This is where the business name came from, Rebekah’s Studio. In 2015 I left my employment and became self employed.

During the Covid pandemic, I made a very difficult decision to stop photographing newborn babies, this was purely a decision made based on my family circumstances, having a third child. I found committing time to all subjects in photography and being a mum to three children was getting tough. Wedding’s are now all I photograph, and I limit the amount of weddings I photograph each year (20 max). This is so I can commit 100% of my photography skills and time to all my couples and they receive their wedding images in a realistic time frame, usually within 4 to 6 weeks after their wedding.

Booking a photographer for your wedding is a difficult choice when there are so many around. So why book me to photograph your wedding?

I have over 12 years of experience. I have photographed weddings in all seasons and many venues; churches, cathedrals, castles, halls, manor houses, hotels, barns, theatres, registry offices, marquees and outdoor ceremonies.  Every wedding I photograph, I also edit the images myself, I do not outsource or hire associate photographers, this means you have me, my skill and knowledge for your wedding. I am more than happy to chat with you about your wedding as many times as you feel is required, By email, phone call, video call, text and if your local to Honiton we can always meet over coffee (told you I enjoy a coffee! ) I can visit your wedding venue before your wedding if this is something you feel is required. Throughout your wedding day, your images will be backed up onto two memory cards to avoid the chance of file corruption and after your wedding your images will be backed up in 3 locations until the images have been fully edited and sent to you. I will also keep your wedding images for a minimum of 18 months after your wedding just incase you need further copies.

My photography style is very relaxed, I capture the fun, emotion and all those beautiful details which have been added to make your wedding day extra special to you both. You can see all this for yourself by clicking here to see examples of my work or by following me on Instagram and Facebook.

Thanks for reading this far, I will look forward to hearing all about your wedding plans.
