Rebecca and Jason Church wedding in Thoverton.
Rebecca and Jason’s wedding took place on Saturday 3rd September 2016 in Thoverton, Devon. They had a church wedding ceremony at St Thomas of Canterbury which began at 1pm. This was then followed by a marquee wedding reception at the Memorial Hall in Thorverton.
For the wedding reception the guest enjoyed a sit down meal, and the speeches soon followed after. For the evening entertainment Rebecca and Jason hired a band.
The weather was not on our side for Rebecca & Jason's wedding, in fact it was probably the wettest wedding I photographed in 2016. This meant the group photographs had to been taken inside the marquee and the portraits of Rebecca and Jason were taken when the rain showers became a lot lighter (Rebecca was brave enough to have photographs without an umbrella!). In the evening the rain showers did come to an end, so we were able to photograph the larger group photographs on the lawn outside the Memorial Hall and additional portrait photographs of Rebecca and Jason were taken on a bridge which went over a small stream.
With the rain finally stopping in the evening, guest were able to play with the outdoor games which Rebecca and Jason provided, such as tug of war and sack race.
Rebecca and Jason's wedding photography coverage included two photographer. I started in Newton Abbot for bridal preparations and Catherine started in Exeter for the groom preparations. We both stayed late into the evening to cover the first dance.
